Add to basketThis is the incredible saga of Delia Craig and her pioneering family settled down in the Kenyan wilderness of Lewa on the slopes of Mount Kenya over a hundred years ago. They took the huge challenge of taming the bush teemed with Elephants, Rhino, Lion, Leopard, impala, Bush buck and other game to build a farm that stretched thousands of acres. In the past several decades Delia and her husband Craig ran the farm successfully and accommodated all the wildlife there instead of killing them. This area became Lewa Coservancy and became a haven for endangered wildlife including the Rhinos. The author Natasha Breed stayed with Delia and her husband several months to record Delia s years of experience there, and it is a delightful account of a pioneering family that withstood the incredible odds throughout to survive. See the images of a full page presentation inscription and signature by the author to friends on the subtitle page. The book is also signed by Delia Craig - the subject of the book as well as the author once again on the title page (see images) there is a sticker on the front end page Buy the book from the initial bookseller, and this copy obtained from a Nation wide US bookstore chain via courier into Canada. Illustrated with photo plates, 354 pages, appears to be hardly read, Very good volume in a VG dust jacket. A rare copy signed by Delia Craig and the author + additional presentation inscription written in ink and signed by the author.
