From the library of the poet David Gascoyne, with the Gascoyne library book-label and inscribed by the author, "à David Gascoyne, ce livre (ancien déjà) et que peut-être il aimera . . . Stétié"; loosely inserted an eloquent autograph letter signed from him to Gascoyne, 2pp. 8vo, The Hague, 24 January 1984. Salah Stétié had met Gascoyne through the Pierre Jean Jouves. The Gascoynes stayed with him later in the year in The Hague, where he was serving as Lebanese ambassador to the Netherlands. Seller Inventory # G101788
