Author's SIGNED presentation on the half-title: "A l'honorable chef d'escadron Malartre tres heureux d'avoir su imaginer le pretexte de mon mariage, pour Jenin à Beyrouth vous donner cet autographe, humblement à vous,Thomas Raucat, 19 oct. 1929". Thomas Raucat was the pseudonym of Roger Poidatz (1894-1976), a W.W. I French aviator and later aviation trainer in Japan, which is the subject of this, his first novel.
