The Nicholites "came into being along the Maryland-Delaware border about 1760.and soon waxed strong in Caroline and Dorchester Counties in Maryland.The Nicholites progressed from being a an unchurched group of fun-seeking persons to becoming a society of "sober and well-behaved men and women. Theire white garb, austere life, and spiritual development attracted the attention of Quakers, Methodists, Moravians, and other religious groups." Brown cloth with gilt titling to spine. Square tight binding. Clean interior. Signed and inscribed on the front end paper in blue ink. Dust jacket with mild edge wear. Presents handsomely in archival mylar. A superior edition.
