Add to basketFirst Edition/First Printing. Hardcover. Very good book in a very good price clipped dust jacket. Original rose cloth book has some wear to the board edges and offsetting and toning to the endpapers with toning to the page edges. The rear joint is split at the upper corner. The Jacket is clipped at the four corners, with some light toning to the edges, else near fine. Signed and warmly inscribed by the author on the front flyleaf: " To Betty Huling with love. from Bunny W/ Nov 13, 1940." Betty Huling worked with Wilson at The New Republic and remained a close friend until her death. Huling is referred to in Wilson's Journals, right through until her death in 1969. Wilson reserved his nickname "Bunny" to only close friends in letters and book inscriptions.
