This author event, held in the auditorium of John Burroughs School in St. Louis county, MO., had at least 600--and possibly as many as 800--readers in attendance. It turns out that the author is a Washington U. in Saint Louis grad, and she sold her first book years ago on September 2 after graduating in May. This event was held one day after the book was released.
