First Edition. INSCRIBED in the year after publication by the author on the front endpaper: "For Robert Pollak / with the grateful thanks of / Garson Kanin / Chicago / February, 1947." A play that became the basis for the 1950 film directed by George Cukor, starring Judy Holliday (reprising her stage role) and William Holden. Very Good plus in an about Very Good plus dust jacket. Boards lightly faded on the spine and top edges. Jacket lightly edgeworn, with moderate toning on the spine, flap folds, and flap edges.
