About this Item
First edition. (A paperback original.) Signed by the author on the title page. [viii], 246 pp. Publisher's wraps with red stained edges. A Very Good+ copy with uncreased spine, bright wraps, hint of sunning along top edge, slightly shelf rubbed, small ding to front wrap. A forgotten dystopian science fiction novel. Online reviewer Brad Bigelow likens it the work of Ursula K. Le Guin, writing that it is "set in a world in which America is run by white people waited on by people of color from the Third World. Medical science has advanced to the point where immortality is possible, but to keep its possible complications from spiraling out of control, it s also made available only to a selected portion of the population."
