This book celebrates the 150th anniversary of organized Norwegian immigration to America. A number of manuscripts written for the celebration in 1974-75 comprise the contents of this book. Journalist/broadcaster Eric Sevareid contributes a postscript piece titled "Letter to a Grandfather I Never Knew." 119 pages, illustrated by Karl Erik Harr. Signed by the author on the page following the title page. On the same page is a gift inscription from the Consul General of Norway, in Houston, Harald Midttun. A typed, signed letter from Midttun to the previous owner is also laid in. Seller Inventory # 03924
