Light wear to corners with brief exposure, textblock uniformly toned due to inferior stock, else Very Good or better. Errata slip tipped to front free endpaper. Inscribed to front free endpaper "To Carrie Dean Denton / from her friend / The Author / Sept. 6 -- '11." Collection of legends of the Pima people, compiled by individual anarchist J. William Lloyd during a 1903 trip to Sacaton, Arizona, and "considered by experts to be one of the most successful efforts to record Indian legends" (cf. Mary G.
