This is an ORIGINAL WW1 POSTER: "RED CROSS CHRISTMAS ROLL CALL". 1918. Linen mounted. Full color lithograph. 19" x 28" with a linen perimeter of appoximately 2". The poster is in vivid, fresh colors and shows heroic classic figures of a Red Cross Nurse and Columbia, framing a scroll on which Columbia has written, "Where Columbia Sets Her Name, Let Every One Of You Follow Her". Artist Edwin Howland Blashfield (1848-1936) was an American painter and muralist, best known for painting the murals on the dome of the Library of Congress Main Reading Room. Signed in the print.
