Blank free endpapers were made of wood pulp and so,are brittle and brown. But rest of book is not brittle.Gabriel Ze'ev Margolis was born in Vilna, Russia, was ordained rabbi at the early age of 20, immigrated to the U.S. at the beginning of the 20th century and initially lived in Boston. He then spent 24 years as Rabbi of Temple Adath Israel in New York with a constantly growing membership that reached 10,000. Margolis had been chief rabbi of the Boston Jewish Community and rabbi of the Baldwin Place Synagogue and was also president of the Assembly of Hebrew Orthodox Rabbis. Seller Inventory # 012140
