Naast haar studies aan de Jane Packer Flower School en de Hana-ami Gestaltungsschule in Tokyo, vervolmaakte Takagi haar opleiding tijdens verschillende internationale seminaries, onder meer bij de Duitse grootmeester Gregor Lersch.
