About the Author:

Geboren am 28.04.1874 in Gitschin (Nordb�hmen), gestorben am 12.06.1936 in Wien. 1877 zieht die Familie nach Wien um. Nach dem Abitur beginnt er 1892 sein Jurastudium an der Universit�t Wien. Er studiert ab 1894 Philosophie und Germanistik, schlie�t sein Studium jedoch nicht ab. Er ist mit Vertretern der Gruppe "Jungwien" (u.a. Arthur Schnitzler und Hugo von Hofmannsthal ) befreundet. 1899 Mitbegr�nder der Zeitschrift "Die Fackel", an der in den folgenden Jahren verschiedene K�nstler und Schriftsteller wie Detlev von Liliencron und Else Lasker-Sch�ler mitarbeiten.
