About the Author:

Pedro Mairal naci� en Buenos Aires en 1970. Su novela Una noche con Sabrina Love recibi� el Premio Clar�n en 1998 y fue llevada al cine. Ha publicado tambi�n las novelas El a�o del desierto (2005) y Salvatierra(2008), el volumen de cuentos Hoy temprano (2001), y los libros de poes�a Tigre como los p�jaros (1996), Consumidor final (2003) y la trilog�a Pornosonetos (2003, 2005 y 2008). En 2007 fue nombrado uno de los 39 mejores j�venes escritores latinoamericanos por el Hay Festival de Bogot�. Trabaja como guionista y escribe para distintos medios de comunicaci�n. En 2013 public� El gran surub�, una novela en sonetos, y El equilibrio, una recopilaci�n de las columnas que escribi� durante cinco a�os para el diario Perfil. En 2015 public� en Chile Maniobras de evasi�n, un libro de cr�nicas. Su �ltima novela, La uruguaya, ha recibido en Espa�a el Premio Tigre Juan 2017 y lo ha confirmado como uno de los m�s destacados autores argentinos de su generaci�n.
