Sister Maureen's Selection of Irish Art with Reflections brings together the creative works of 42 Irish men and women who dedicated themselves to art in their own particular way. They are artists worth knowing. In the book we are taken on a journey, with Maureen, through each of the works of art and through the lives of the artists who created them, artists from the past and the present, make and female, painters, sculptors and stained glass workers. the selected works are accompanied by a reflection which gives each a further dimension, leading the reader to ponder on the deeper meaning of life. This new collection of Irish Art will be looked at with pleasure, read with interest and wonder, and returned to again and again for insight, inspiration and support. It is a book for everyone, for young and old, for those who want to know more about Ireland's rich cultural heritage and for those who paint or script for the sheer joy of it. Ideal as a gift, or as an aid for personal reflection and meditation.
