Often out snipping or clipping first thing in the morning, Liz turns her wicked wit on snails and slugs, triumphs and disasters, nosy neighbours and expensive tree surgeons. Here is everything from the joy of a first crocus to the irritation of losing a much loved trowel. No-one manages to take such delightful snapshots of everyday gardening life quite like Liz Cowley. This is the perfect gift for garden-lovers everywhere; a sparkling voice whose wry, astute humour will find fans far beyond just the poetry corner. Read by a panel of her twenty gardening friends for feedback and meticulously checked for botanical correctness, Liz Cowley captures the joy of every-day gardening in the form of poetry.

Review:

'Cowley leaves no stone unturned in this garden of delights...A natural poet in the natural world, Cowley's 100 gems of outdoor observation are guaranteed to strike a chord with gardeners everywhere, as well as making us laugh and lifting our spirits...The ideal gift for gardeners good... and bad.' --Lancashire Evening Post

About the Author:

Liz Cowley is probably Britain's only humorous gardening poet and has written humorous poetry for many years for her own enjoyment while working as an advertising copywriter on products for women. Her first published collection reached the top of humorous verse on Amazon and was turned into a London and Dublin stage show. She lives in Putney, London with her husband and loves going to flower shows to see other gardeners.
