About the Author:

Henry Wade was the pseudonym of Henry Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher (1887-1969). Educated at Eton and then New College, Oxford, Wade was mentioned in despatches twice during WWI, and awarded the DSO and Croix de Guerre. He was a major figure in the development of the 'golden age' of crime fiction, writing twenty novels and two collections of short stories.
