About the Author:

Pam Sussman, a book artist since 1995, devotes her full time to teaching, writing and making artist's books in fabric and paper. Pam majored in design at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and later studied bookmaking. She operated a book arts studio at the Pendleton Art Center in Cincinnati, where she taught classes and produced limited edition books. She moved to Pittsburgh and signed on as a book arts instructor at the Society for Contemporary Craft, where she continues to teach. Pam has served as artist-in-residence at Pittsburgh Classical Academy since 2002, and serves on the special studies faculty at Chautauqua Institution, New York. Her students come from across the U.S., Canada and Australia.
