If home is gone with the lover, and life doesn't want to shelter you anymore, where would you go? What would you do? To answer these questions, the author invites you to read Dulce de Leche. The novella is a creative non fiction, written in a poetic prose; the author's unique style. Every event is seen through her eyes. Trying to understand her feelings, the narrator takes you on a journey by conveying her emotions into words and noting down every meaningful conversation she's had with people around her, herself, life, and most importantly, her lost lover. Poetry is beautiful, words can taste sweeter, but romanticizing heartbreak is bitter. However, if the heartbreak is in fact romanticized, and the poetic prose is transformed into a new home, would it validate the author's thoughts? That is for you to answer. Last but not least, it is important to remember, that feelings are meant to be felt, not understood. Meghri Doumanian is a Canadian-Armenian author based in Montreal, Canada, who spent most of her life in Beirut, Lebanon. Her passion for creative writing appeared at a young age, and Dulce de Leche is her debut novella. Her goal is to empower women to find their path and voice, even when broken and left behind. In addition to that, her activism for human rights is often seen in her literary works.
