She and her husband Dr. Archie Goldie, D.D. have been married for 61 years and moved to the U.S in 1981when her husband became the Director of Baptist World Aid on the staff of the Baptist World Alliance in Washington, D.C. Now retired, Helen at 85 is finally telling the story of her mother, who tenaciously held on to her faith in God through years of hardship, doubt and difficulties.
