The author, a youth leader and practioner of Nichiren Diashonin's Buddhism for 14 years wrote all of the poems for the encouragement of others based on Buddhist philosophy and her experience with it in her life. The read is inspirational, motivational and covers such topics as the attainment or world peace, personal growth and finding joy admist difficulties. Although the poems in the book were written for fellow practioners of Nichiren's Buddhism as practiced in the Soka Gakkai International, each and every poem is appropriate for anyone seeking inspiration and encouragement.
