About the Author:

Mr. Stallman grew up in Holmesvile, Ohio, a small town of 350. He purchased a cottage at Topsail Island, North Carolina and became infatuated with its history. He wrote a book about the island, ECHOES of Topsail. This led to a discovery of Camp Davis military history located nearby. Fascinated with the WWII engagement of Women Airforce Service Pilots, WASP, who flew military aircraft in missions that towed aerial targets for antiaircraft gunnery training, he wanted to tell their story.
