About the Author:

H. Wayne Phillips is a former Forest Service ecologist who now devotes all of his time to teaching and writing about the flora of the Central and Northern Rocky Mountains. He has taught botany and wildflower classes at the Yellowstone Association Institute, the University of Montana, Montana State University, and the University of Great Falls. He is author of "Central Rocky Mountain Wildflowers "and "Northern Rocky Mountain Wildflowers," and is active in the Montana Native Plant Society.
Currently President of the Montana Native Plant Society, Wayne Phillips is a plant ecologist with over thirty years of experience. Since 1982 he has been teaching wildflowers and edible/medicinal plant classes.
