Sleeter examines the effects on staff development by reporting a series of classroom observations and interviews, conducted over a two year period, involving a sample of 30 teachers who were participating in a staff development programme in multicultural education. She also discusses how educators should be thinking about school change and multicultural education in light of the sense teachers are making of it. It is aimed at PGCE/BA/BEd students/lecturers, specifically multicultural and teacher education courses and school administrators.
