About the Author:

I was born in Baltimore, Maryland to first generation Russian Jewish parents. I spent the majority of my formative years in a Black Ghetto. I received a BA degree in Psychology from Towson State College and a Masters in Counseling from the University of Virginia. All of my professional career was spent counseling with learning disabled, special education, and troubled adolescents. In retirement, I became an Aids activist and an Aids Buddy for eight years until my young man died at the age of 32. I was also a member of the the local Aids Alliance. I also delivered food to HIV clients who could no longer do for themselves. Also, I have been a garden enthusiast for well over 49 years.
