She is the illustrator of So you want to be a Roman Soldier? and So you want to be a Viking?, both published by Thames & Hudson. Stephen Turnbull is a writer and historian. He is a Lecturer on Japanese Religion at Leeds University and is the author of many books on Japan and warriors, including Samurai and Ninja, both published by Thames & Hudson.
