About the Author:LYN THOMAS Deputy Director, Institute for the Study of European Transformations, London Metropolitan University, UK, where she previously taught French. She recently edited The Theory and Politics of Consuming Differently with Kate Soper and Martin Ryle. She is a member of the Feminist Review Editorial Collective.
