PMBOK®, PRINCE2®, and Scrum are today’s three most widely used project management standards. The most successful project managers know how to draw on all three and even combine them to deliver projects more effectively and efficiently. In this unique guidebook, Jihane
Roudias shows project managers how these methods complement each other, how to integrate them, and how to troubleshoot projects involving any or all of them.
Roudias illuminates core project concepts, processes, and areas of knowledge in each methodology, helps you synthesize them, and reviews obstacles you may encounter in each project process. Drawing on extensive personal experience, Roudias also shows how to use project risk management and monitoring and evaluation systems to make timely and informed decisions at every project stage.
Whatever your PM role, this tutorial will help you earn the certification you want, as you use today’s best methodologies to achieve outstanding project performance.
Every significant project follows roughly similar processes, but not every project relies on the same methodologies. Throughout North America and the Middle East, PMP’s PMBOK® is most widely used, offering prescriptive answers to important how questions about project management. Throughout the UK and Europe and in many Australian organizations, you may be likelier to encounter PRINCE2® descriptive methodology, focusing primarily on what, when, and whom issues. Third, there’s Scrum, today’s #1 agile framework for rapidly delivering high-value software.
As a modern project manager, you may encounter any or all of these approaches. What’s more, they complement each other: if you understand them all, you can integrate them to deliver projects even more successfully. Now, in this one-of-a-kind guidebook, expert project manager Jihane Roudias presents the essence of all three, helping you apply whatever PM methods offer the most value wherever you are.
Roudias offers concise, insightful coverage of PM principles, phases, roles, responsibilities, problem-solving, risk management, monitoring,
evaluation, certification, and more. If you’re a working PM or student who wants to succeed in new areas or global environments, this is your ideal resource.
