Original stereocard on brown board. Features two stereoscopic black-and-white photographs mounted on board. Stereocard measures 7" x 3 1/2." Each photo measures about 3" x 3." Stereocard is very clean and intact overall. Board is age-toned with some smudges. A Very Good copy. Title and copyright information printed below the right photo in the bottom margin. Text printed in left margin on front: "Keystone View Company, Manufacturers and Publishers." Text printed in right margin on front: "Meadville, Pa. St. Louis, Mo.; Copyright 1900, by B. L. Singley." Please note: this stereocard portrays negative stereotypes of black people. This stereocard shows a portrait of two people in blackface and may be a scene from a minstrel show. B. L. Singley (1864-1938) was an American photography businessman who founded the Keystone View Company in 1892. The Keystone View Company was based in Meadville, Pennsylvania and became one of the world's most prominent stereographic companies. Singley had previously worked for another stereographic company, Underwood & Underwood. The Keystone View Company stayed in business until 1972 when Gifford Mast closed its Meadville manufacturing site. Seller Inventory # 024411
