This is a vintage photograph album, with ~45 photographs. Photo sizes ~4-1/2" x 3-1/2". The album size is ~7-3/4" x 5-3/4". String-tied, card covers (front cover embossed). Likely from the Whitewater, Wisconsin, as there are a couple of photos of the A. E. Scholl grocery store, which was in Whitewater; and there is a cityscape photo that appears to show the old Whitewater City Hall building in the distance. Circa 1900, as there is a photo of a horse-drawn wagon with a T. G. Mandt Wagon Co. On the side (this company was in existance from 1896 until the early 1900's in Stoughton, Wisconsin). Photos include: a locomotive; 4 of steam tractors and/or threshers in use; a few horse & buggy (and one drawn by a mule with a dog riding on its back); farm views; laborers (including railroad); area city buildings and city views; several that appear to be of a girls school or home (including a couple camp scene); etc. The covers are bumped at the corners, and some sun-lightening along the front cover spine edge and to the rear cover. Else the covers have just a bit of light rubbing, but are clean. One photo has staining along the left edge. Else the photos are clean. An interesting local history item. ; 27D.
