This is an interesting old shipping hand bill document advertising that The Ship, ?The Old Contract? is transporting Carriage Guns, Swivels & Small Arms to York, also accepting goods and passengers to sail from Stanton?s Wharf, the boat being recently removed from Chamberlain?s Wharf, Southwark, dated October 21st 1815 signed by The Wharfinger at Stanton?s Wharf the handbill is also lists the places that goods being delivered to York, can then be further transported to in the surrounding towns of Yorkshire, Lancashire, etc measuring 8 inches by 7 inches, with some edge and creasing wear, and edge browning, a centre spike hole, else in good condition.
