About this Item

A recovered strip of vellum from a binding. 26cm x 4cm. There are 38 lines visible on the recto. From Comestor's 'Historia Scholastica' on the Historia Judicum (Judges) caps.x-xii. The manuscript is English in origin and dates from the second quarter of the C13th. There is a capital 'P' in blue ink and a further similar capital with red rubrications. A neat hand.
