vii, [1], 211pp. Contemporary gilt-tooled red morocco, A.E.G. A trifle rubbed. Internally clean and crisp. Inked inscription to front blank fly-leaf: 'Edwd. M. Forster from c.q.s.' Tennyson's elegiac, narrative poem, first published in 1850, composed in memory of his Cambridge friend Arthur Henry Hallam (1811-1833), who died of cerebral haemorrhage at the age of twenty-two.
