Folding map. 370mm x 452mm opened out. Framed and glazed on both sides. The map, a 1925 edition of Betts' central area of the London underground, is coloured and scaled at 1inch to the mile. A few small holes in the intersections of the map folds do not detract from an attractive map. Printed on the verso is information for travellers including a map of the theatres in Central London, a map showing underground railway connection with the main line termini, a list of restaurants wth nearest underground stations, and shopping thoroughfares etc. The 1924 edition of the map did not have the map showing the main line terminal connections. This 1925 map shows the Charing Cross, Euston and Hampstead Railway extension from Charing Cross to Kennington New Street under construction, the line being opened in September 1926.
