Bissuel, Chef de Bureau Arabe, d'après les renseignements fournis par les Touareg Taïtoq et Kel Ahnet, faits prisonniers au Kassa, en Juillet, les 8 et 9 Août 1887 (based on information from the Tuareg prisoners Taïtoq and Kel Ahnet in 1887). Adolphe Jourdan Libraire-Éditeur (1888). 134.0 x 100.0cm, 52.75 x 39.25 inches; this is a folding map. Condition: Good. Splits along some of the folds, wear and small areas of paper loss at junctions of folds, all repaired verso. Some toning. Please contact us if you would like to arrange to view this map. There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is plain. The map shows the trans-Saharan routes used by the Touareg from the oasis town of El Menia (formerly El Golea) in Algeria to Timbuktu, the Adrar des Ifoghas region in northeastern Mali, Talak in Niger, and towards the Niger river and Agadez.
