This is a very nice wall map of the Southern States as defined in November of 1861 just months after the Civil War began at Fort Sumter. There are medallions with the busts of Lincoln, Seward, Mc Clallan and Winfield Scott. The large woodcut is the size of four sheets of the publication. The present copy is in fair condition having repaired tears and chips incurring into the image. The centerfold has been expertly repaired with archival mending tape. It would look nice floated in a frame reflecting the wear and tear of its age. Fair having been extensively repaired with archival tape and chips and tears the same. see pic. Seller Inventory # 771
