This is a bound volume of the sporting publication, "THE OUTING MAGAZINE" - Sport, Adventure, Travel, Fiction. 1913-1914; Outing Publishing Company; New York. Volume LXIII containing six issues, October 1913 to March 1914. The issues contain works of both fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. There are illustrations and photographs throughout. Sports and recreation topics include baseball, golf, tennis, football, hunting, track & field, camping, fishing, shooting, ice yachting, horse jumping, rowing, and much more. The original front and back covers are not included - each issue begins with a frontispiece followed by the first page of the issue with a masthead. Condition: Soiling/staining to the covers and spine. The cloth on the spine has faded. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Library label affixed to front pastedown. A few random pages have an ink library stamp. Library ID label on spine. Library ID# written in pen at the top of the title page. Pages 767 has a tennis ball sized piece missing at the bottom edge that has been repaired with blank paper - the tear affects a lot of the text on page 767, and just a bit of the text on page 768. Pages 547-550 have been removed. The pages are generally clean with only an occasional smudge and light foxing here and there. One article title within the list of contents is underlined in marker.
