An original very early issue of Country Life Magazine dated February 6th 1926, featuring an article on 'A Lesser Country House of Today' on Pond Tail, Oxted in Surrey, Designed by Messrs. Cheriton & Whitby, with a 2 page write up with black and white illustrations of the house exterior, interior and decor including plans of the house. Country Life Magazine commenced publication in 1897 and these early issues have become highly collectable and a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and renovators and anyone interested in the history of the building. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the building (interior and exterior) and garden as it was at that time. This issue is in good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of H. R.
