Original brown cloth, lettered in gold and decorated in white, black, and shades of brown. All edges green. Eight full page illustrations with the frontispiece protected by a tissue guard. The boards are lightly soiled and there is some minor wear to the spine ends. Deep navy blue endpapers. With 16pp of ads to the rear. Newbolt, 17.4. He calls this "the first true US edition." Some wear to the spine ends and some corners rounded. Some interior hinge wear. This remains a clean, bright, and solid copy. Very Good. Seller Inventory # 019445
