Woodcut illustrations in the text. Title page and each month also has a headed page. This issue contains; A letter sent by the Vicar of Morwenstow on the legend of the village by R.S. Hawker + Who Wrote the Waverley Novels? (His brother and his wife Thomas and Bessie are examined in some detail) + Christmas Custom in Norfolk + New Facts on Robinson Crusoe + The Grave of Rob Roy + Early Merchants Marks (with cuts), etc. Disbound but all firm, once bound, but would have been as a yearly journal originally. We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
