Eli Whitney built a firearms factory near New Haven, Connecticut, and this history details how his muskets, crafted by methods comparable to those of modern mass industrial production and were the first to have standardized, interchangeable parts, changed how wars were fought. Green cloth with gilt on front and spine. Tight square binding. Clean interior. Mild edge wear. Small Embossed stamp to title page of previous owner.
