A rarity and I am not aware of another copy in public or private hands .A mint copy with inscription dated 1907 . The front and rear panels with flaps of the wrapper came off a trial binding where I suspect the publisher experimented with laying the wrapper over the boards to save the cost of illustrating ,but they did illustrate the spine. A small team of us led by Mark Terry recreated the wrappers of all the early Blacks based on originals that myself and others had . What we didn't know was the colour and texture of the paper of this title until this item turned up .Richard Reeve was able to match the paper and work to our recreation. We really had no idea how it would turn out but its brilliant .All the original wrappers of the same period have BLACK not A C BACK so we have remained consistent. We cannot be 100% certain that the spine is right but the process we have followed is consistent with what we know ,so this is the best we have unless a copy turns up , Its also an unknown with the infills of the illustrations on the spine but the publishers seemed to accept black and white but left colours which may have been cost related. A full wrapper may still yet turn up but I'm not holding my breath. Seller Inventory # PGWUKFTWF1
