Zurich: J. Heinrich Ragaz, 1956. First Edition of the number 6 issue, May, 1956 - the first year of this memorable publication. Octavo, printed wraps, 16 pp. Cover UFO illustration, with the word "Friede!" (Peace!") emanating from the saucer, toward observers below. Text in German. From Max Miller's collection. Age toning toward the perimeter,Max Miller's address label on back cover, and a medium chip in back cover; Very Good. A first-year issue of Ragaz' well-regarded UFO periodical, which ran from 1956 to 1969, from the first age of UFOlogy. A Swiss publication because, we are told, German publications were still subject to censorship in the fifties - otherwise, essentially a West German title. Text is in German, but some of the remarkably text-rich articles are: "Eine Lanze fur George Adamski", "Landing in Norway", "Orly, Paris, 20 February 1956", "der zensur entschlupft", "folgen der atomverbrechen", "A Message From the Spaceships", more. Weltraumbote would double in length and add photographs and sketches as it proceeded forward from this early issue - but there is plenty here. Scarce piece of early UFO history, in superb condition, from the collection of Max Miller of Flying Saucers International and Saucers magazine. L63.…
