About this Item
Oversized tabloid format, offset printed on newsprint with spot color. Text in French. Complete with the 4 pp. Spartacus insert. The fifth issue of the radical underground newspaper edited by Sartre and allied with the VLR movement. The periodical ran to 17 issues, and was infamous for the 12th issue, done in collaboration with the FHAR (Front homosexuel d'action révolutionnaire) and which was banned. This issue includes material on the Basque independence movement, an article on the trial of Marc Hatzfeld and the working conditions of immigrant miners, the Renault strike, a text on Val Douglas and the Black Panther Party School of Liberation in Berkeley, from The Black Panther and here translated into French, an interview with the Basque group ETA, etc. some moderate splitting at fold lines, the usual toning, otherwise a complete and very good example.
