First edition. After a monumental work on "La Tour de 300 mètres", printed in a limited number and not sold commercially, Gustave Eiffel decided to publish this book gathering all that is of interest about the Tower. Its history, its construction, its technical characteristics and the various major works carried out by Eiffel company. Illustrated with 11 plates out of text: a frontispiece, an engraved portrait, 2 heliogravure views of Paris, 6 folding plates and a very large folding map of the outskirts of Paris indicating the points visible from the top of the Eiffel Tower. A good copy. 4to. Frontispice, VIII, 363 pp., 10 planches hors-texte. Percaline bordeaux, titre doré. (Reliure de l'éditeur.) --------------------Première édition. Après un monumental ouvrage sur la "Tour de 300 mètres", tiré à petit nombre et non mis dans le commerce, Gustave Eiffel décida de publier ce livre rassemblant tout ce qui est intéressant sur la Tour. Son histoire, sa construction, ses caractéristiques techniques et les divers grands travaux réalisés par les Etablissements Eiffel. Illustré par 11 planches hors-texte : un frontispice, un portrait gravé, 2 vues de Paris en héliogravure, 6 planches dépliantes et une très grande carte dépliante des environs de Paris indiquant les points visibles du haut de la Tour Eiffel.
