Torat ha-Musika has approbations from Rabbi Israel Jacob ha-Kohen Jaffe of Manchester and Rabbi Nathan Solomon Greenspan of Leiden. The text, in a single column in square letters, begins with the essay on the renewal of Hebrew song, which is divided into three parts and a conclusion. The parts are entitled the sources of Hebrew song; musical voices; and avarot gorrerot avarot.
