Publisher's device on title page. The "Textkritik des Neuen Testamentes" covers the history of the New Testament attempting to determine the correct form of it. The task was to collect the originals of all times, examine and assesses the texts to define the original form of the text. (Trans. from introduction). Volume one with an introduction to paleography as well as an assessment of the Greek manuscripts on the New Testament and Greek liturgical books. Volume two treats the translation of Greek manuscripts and offers a general introduction on criticism, and volume three elaborates specifically on criticism of the Greek manuscripts of the New Testament, liturgical books and translations as well as the application of critique. Volume three also contains indices of abbreviations, persons and subjects, Soden's and Gregory's numbers juxtaposed, and Greek manuscripts. Text in German. All volumes with library barcodes and stickers on binding, library bookplates on inside front, library pockets or index cards plus reference stickers and numeric stamps on inside back covers. Library stamps to top and bottom edges of blocks. Brief inked entry on front free endpapers. Some light wear along edges of binding, spines sunned and rubbed, covers rubbed.
