This New Mexico-based militant Chicano movement sought justice for descendants of the original Spanish colonists in the region. The Alianza claimed that Spanish and Mexican land titles ostensibly guaranteed under the terms of the 1848 Treaty of Guadelupe Hidalgo were dishonored. The purpose of the raid was to capture and put on trial the county District Attorney - who was then out of town. State governor David Cargo sent in the National Guard. We utilize the $25.00 Priority Mail International flat-rate mailer (4 lbs maximum weight) when we can adequately protect the book within. Oversize books will in most cases cost a minimum of $50.00 to ship overseas. The ABE default shipping rates are based on orders for 1 book at a maximum weight of 2.2 pounds.
