Octavo, 87pp., illustrated. A very good copy in the publisher's navy cloth. Spine gently faded and dust-soiled, and the inner hinges loosened, but holding. An early work by Barnard C. Taylor, who later founded the Press of Appletree Alley in Lewisburg, PA, an artistic private press operation. Here, he contributes illustrations. A notation on the half-title page indicates that the book is a gift from "Lee and Barney" (the latter being Taylor). We are unsure if it is in Taylor's hand, or in the receipient's.
